(no subject)

An absolutely HUGE spider has just crawled over my desk. Ugh.

Luckily, my colleague was here to liberate it into the bushes outside. It would have made a very big mess if he'd squished it (which I don't believe in anyway). Thanks Chris!

I hope there isn't anymore...

HUGE spider
Known as Hertfordshire Horribles but, seeing as you're not in sunny Herts, I don't know what you'd call them in Bucks. Big Buckinghshire Buggers?

I don't believe in squishing, either. Spiders are useful even if yucky, crawly, creepy, lurking things that jump out at you in the bathroom. (or workplace in this case.)

This thing was big and chunky, about 2 1/2 to 3 inches, horrible.

Watford is in Hertfordshire (and so is Hemel) btw.

And I got a B in O level Geography. But we didn't do English Counties (and they keep changing the boundaries anyway). Well, that's my excuse, for what it's worth.

So it was a Hertfordshire Horrible after all? And here was me getting all excited thinking you'd discovered a new spider the Bogwitch's Big Buckinghamshire Bugger. I rather like that name.

'fraid so. I can forgive you for the Watford misplacement, we are right in the corner squished between Greater London (I think) and Bucks.
