No more cake for me

Have finally bitten the bullet and have joined Weight Watchers. Got to get rid of all this extra I'm carrying around. Let's see how long my enthuasium lasts, eh?

Have applied for two jobs, both of which sound really good and don't seem to be dead end admin jobs. Hurrah! The end is really in sight now and I have to take things more seriously.

Maybe tomorrow.

Good luck with the job applications and everything.

I keep feeling (rather gloomily) that the end of AtS means I no longer have an excuse not to do all those things I don't want to do.

I no longer have an excuse not to do all those things I don't want to do.

I think being kicked out of my job is enough for that! The end of AtS is the end of an era, but somehow I'm not feeling it as much as the loss of Buffy. Maybe I will in a couple of weeks it'll all hit me.

I hate looking for a job. Good luck with the applications you have out, and finding something you enjoy.

For some reason the end of Buffy didn't hit me that hard, because I knew there would still be AtS, and Spike would be there. Now there will be nothing. When the WB started I loved it for it's out of the ordinary programing, dealing with witches and vampires etc. (Things that before I only got in books and movies.) Now they are moving more and more toward the "normal" stuff I can watch anywhere.

I absolutely loathe job-hunting, because I'm crap at it and I never know what I want to do. Which is why I'm stuck at the bottom in a job I'm technically over-qualified for. We'll see anyway.

I (obviously) don't get the WB, but I think TV in general is getting less interesting. I just don't have the same emotional attachment to Angel that I did to Buffy - I only watched the early seasons because I think I should in case any crossed over. As for missing Spike, I don't think it's really hit me yet...

I hate job hunting for the other reason. I know exactly what I want to do and if I couldn't do that for some reason I haven't a clue what I would do. That is why I have a 1.5 hour drive to work now. I lost my job and no one was hiring close to me. So I checked in the next towns in each direction and found what I wanted. (And I can't convince my husband we should move.)

I didn't see many of the early Buffy episodes and am just watching them now in reruns. Not long after I started watching it on a regular basis it left the WB and moved to UPN which I don't get, so I was catching it a week later at about midnight or so, which was a lot of hassel just to watch a tv show. I agree that TV in general is gettingless interesting. There are a few things on SciFi that are ok. I think I am going to have to start back reading to find good entertainment. Unfortunately, I don't have much time for that.

Once upon a time, I had an idea, but I had absolutely no success in any of the directions I took. Now I'm completely off track.

Problem with reading is that you can't do anything else at the same time!

That is probably why I read so little. And if you have a family they feel slighted and get angry because you are paying attention to the book and not to them.

And if you have a family they feel slighted and get angry because you are paying attention to the book and not to them.

Yep. Know that feeling.

I was unprepared for it. Growing up we all read for entertainment. (Of course we didn't have cable TV or any electronic game systems.) I thought that was what normal people did.

How can you no longer eat CAKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Thinks you should add me to msn :)

And best of luck with the jobs :)

MMMMMMMMM at spike icon ;)

I have to save up points for cake :(

I would add you to msn if I had msn. Just AIM and YM.

Spike is always tasty and low fat too!

You might want to check out fandom_ww. It's a bunch of people into various fandoms and doing Weight Watchers. It's a nice, positive, supportive group.

Thanks. I'll have to try that.

Best of luck with the job hunt! I hope you find something that you love.

I doubt it, but I'm going to try!

Oh no. Sorry to hear that. The package is my pleasure.

Have applied for two jobs, both of which sound really good and don't seem to be dead end admin jobs.

Keeping my fingers crossed!

Have finally bitten the bullet and have joined Weight Watchers.

Oh, well done! I'm still in denial about the extra weight I'm carrying these days - wish I had your courage!

Haven't heard anything job wise yet :(

wish I had your courage!

Hmm. I joined the online version so it was a bit of a cheat really. I have to do something, my wieght is seriously out of control.

There's an on-line version? Hmmm -- sounds ideal!

Bit pricy though. About 50 pounds with 10 quid monthly subs ::cough::
