It's a bit wet out

The day was wild. Strong gusts of wind howled madly around the eves of the houses, carrying ghostly voices calling; calling for lost lovers never to be heard from again. The roof tiles rattled, slates protesting against the onslaught of icy breaths, whistling against the chimney pots. Rain lashed against faces like whips, stinging flushed skin as the sky cried.

And the Ice Cream Man came round.

Why????????

Snicker. It's weird the way they do that, isn't it?

He's getting in training for the British Summer, I think.

You still get an ice cream man? This lady on my street hated the noise it made, and complained, so we don't get any ice cream men on the street anymore. :(

Well, yes, so can I. Especially Ben and Jerry's. It just amused me that it's been really crappy today and he still made his round!

Nice description though you missed the bit about the wind thundering the walls.

Typical! It's officially British Summer Time, so we shall eat bloody ise cream and like it.

Once a beta always a beta. Must be the teacher in you.

Hee. As long as Cliff Richard doesn't get involved, I'm fine.

It's England. It's springtime.
It's fucking cold.

Yet the brave Ice Cream Man braves the elements to bring us our refreashing icy treats. What dedication.

Yeah, then when it's stinking hot, they're nowhere to be found.

!

Isn't that just so true!
