It's not fair!

We shouldn't have to work today. I'm so tired...

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would last year, less, or about what you'd predicted?
Much, much more. Never thought I’d put pen to paper again to be honest.

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2003?
Spike/Tara. Didn’t see that coming.

What's your favourite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest.
Either Fascination or Prism. Um, or Santa's Grotty. I'm pleased with all of these.

Did you take any writing risks last year? (See above for unexpected pairings, etc.) What did you learn from them?
Dialogue! Whoo hoo! I can do it!

Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?
Do all the spiketara challenges.
Complete one chapter, at least, per month of the big WIP I’m starting.
Post Naughty Thoughts the Spike/Tara I just need to tweak.
Keep to the 500 word minimum I set myself and up it to 1000.
Write more stories as opposed to scenes.
Write faster and keep up the momentum.

You sure can. The one positive comment my beta made on my chapter 1 was a line you wrote!

*grumble grumble. Might as well stop now then. No point in writing any more stuff that's not actually mine.*

Um. Sorry?

Keep going with it though, it's already much, much better than it was and it does sound like you have an interesting story to tell.

Good writing doesn't appear out of the ether, I've written reams of utter crap over years. If you read my first Spike fic Tattered Valentines, you'll see I've improved dramatically in the past 10-11 months. And I've still got a good way to go.
