Oh dear, oh dear.
Like last year, production on the writing front has been a bit on the spartan side, especially as the year went on and laughably tried to concentrate on Working My Way Back to You (laughable as I have been finding this next chapter so, so hard), but I can’t even say that I was even trying to write for much of the time alas. I do want to write, it's just not coming. I am also finding that I'm not very enthusiastic about posting it when I do finish it.
So most of my creative energy this year then seemed to go into art (if you can call Barbie Buffy ‘art’!), making up for the complete lack of it in 2010.
The highlight of my fandom year (the BtVS part of it anyway) has been the fun fest that

Now that writing meme I always do:
Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?
Way, way less. :(
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2010?
I never thought Dr Fuller would exist.
What's your favourite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest?
Limblessly in Love I suppose. My actual favourite is a Vampire Dairies one that I started, but that doesn’t have a plot yet so it might be awhile before that sees daylight.
Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?
Ha!
Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?
I’m not even going to bother re-wording last years answer:
Same as last year and the year before that etc, etc: Working to be finished (I’m getting very close now, give me another couple years…) and the Black Widow sequel to be done.
From my past year of writing, what was...
My Best Story: Limblessly in Love (not a lot of competition)
Story Most under-appreciated by the Universe: All of them.
Most fun: Limblessly in Love.
Most disappointing: Working My Way Back to You yet again unfinished.
Most sexy: No Escape!
Story With a Single Sexy Moment: No Escape.
Hardest to Write: Working My Way Back to You as always.
Most Unintentionally Telling: Blood, the Tooth and the Claw?
New question!
Prove you have been writing by providing the first line of each fic you started this year, but didn't finish:
“It’s not working, pet,” Spike said doubtfully. This is the start of the little intro I was going to use to introduce the Tara seance for
It is still night when Elena wakes, barely midnight at most by the hum of the cars on the distant highway and the voices chattering in the near distance, and her rise to consciousness is abrupt, sharp and jolting, This is the start of a Vampire Dairies Five Things type fic I thought might be easy. It was abandoned in favour of finishing Working My Way Back to You.
Closing his eyes, Spike tries to concentrate on the way his whole body sinks into the ancient mattress, on the way the cool air in the cave circulates across his privates like cold and rather intimate whispers, on the restless growl in his stomach that tells him he needs to nip out soon and grab a townie for a post-coital snack, on anything really, on anything that helps to tune out the sound of Harmony’s constant, never-ending, prattle. This is a Spike/Harmony fic I started and I can't remember why.
“It’s simple,” Willow said to Buffy in the manner of someone who might be exceptionally intelligent, but didn’t quite understand that for the rest of the human race, some theories would always just sail over their heads. “Really it is.” This was for the
“You made it!”
Stefan grins and gives himself to Lexi’s enveloping bear hug. The welcome more than makes up for all the effort it’s taken to get here. Another Vampire Dairies fic put aside for now.
