Cat Yoga

What do you all think, is this a normal position for a cat to sit in?

I've grown up with lots of cats, but I've never seen them bend legs like that and she does it all the time. I think she might be oddly jointed.

She should start a class!

She could! But I need photos of other things she can do.

You could make the best spoof site...

I'll get to work on it then.

Lolcats eat your heart out.

They're so old cat now.

Whoa! That's a new one for me! LOL

Depends on whether that's HIS paw. (her?) It could be the alien cat bursting out.

It'd had better be, otherwise it's a mutant leg from some deformed conjoined twin.

*spittake* Bwaha!

Aww, Boggy, your kitty is too cute! And way more flexible than the law allows. ;D

Hey, wanna see another mutant cat leg? This is my kitty, Thalidomide, and his deformed front legs. On one leg the toes are all fused together into a mitten, with only one claw. The other leg ends at his elbow in a little point with a teeny tiny pad. He gets around just fine, though; rabbits around on three legs with the stumpy one serving as an occasional brace, and when he doesn't need it he tucks it up against his body like a chicken wing.

That really is a mutant cat leg (x2)! Thalidomide ::snort!:: He's a cutie.

I think Tegan's problems are in brain to leg communication, they don't always do what she wants them to. She can fall off the widest ledges!

Cats are very adaptable, aren't they?

Wow, I've never seen that before either, and I've had a a lot of cats in my lifetime. I mean ok, humans can do it, but it's not confortable.

It doesn't seem like a position it's possible for a cat to get into, but it's not unusual for her.

That's a weird one all right.

That leg seems to bend in all sorts of funny ways.

That's strange, but rather cute.

That does not look comfortable, or even possible *tilts head*

She also stands with an extra bend in that leg, but I don't have a pic of that.

Yoga Cat is flexible!

And has a high pain threshold!

I had to take two looks at that photo to figure out what the heck was going on.

O.O indeed.

It looks like it should be broken, bur she's completely fine. She does it all the time.

That's a new one for me too, but nothing about cats ever surprises me.

::smooches errant paw::

Nothing about this cat surprises me certainly. I'm wondering if this is all part of her neurological problem.

Ours does have a habit of having legs in odd places - but I've never seen him in quite that position. She looks as if someone has twisted it up her back!

I wasn't trying to strongarm her into eating her food honest, however much I might feel like it.

HEE! I could not figure out what the big deal was until I saw that paw. Dude. That is bendy!

You were too distracted by my mis-matched bedding, admit it!

ROFLMAO they are such contortionists!

I'm sure she has extra joints.

LOL dont believe ive seen that before, either! Yoga!cat is bendy.

I'm convinced her anatomy is not quite normal (aside from the lack of balance from her neurological disorder).

It does look strange but I've seen cats contort oddly before. They are nothing, if not flexible.

I've seen them in ridiculous positions, but I can't say I've seen them bend quite like this!
