Sick of chocolate already.

We've got some chocolates with spice in - like cumin, and cardomum and anis! Sadly no chilli ones - which would have been good, but still much nicer than strawberry creams - even if a bit unusual!

I have Just Brazils poisioning.

I am suffering ever so slightly from a surfeit of Christmas cake! My daughter and I make a bloody good Christmas cake - not really blowing my own trumpet - I just follow my mother's recipe - which is basically lots of fruit and alcohol just about held together with flour and eggs and things!

I have been very good about the chocolate though -I've really not eaten a lot - although there is still a lot of evening to go!

I'm not a fan of fruitcake, I'm not keen on raisins. We had all this stuff planned for tea, and no one could eat anything. I just had a bag of Wotsits.

strawberry creams are vile.

Puts back of hand to forehead, then lips, like a good Jewish mama. Are you well, sweetling? Hope your holidays are happy days! **smooches** (and send the excess chocolate quickly to me - having blood work on Tuesday, and I have a feeling I won't like the results)

I'm okay now. I passd out after three glaases of wine anyway. Seems my mother thought I wasn't fat enough already.

Good luck with the tests.

My younger daughter made chili truffles for her father this year. He was thrilled.

Not sick of chocolate yet.

Chili truffles? Not sure about those.

Best quality (70% cocoa solids) leted with double cream and a half teaspoon of chili powder. Whipped till airy and nearly set, then rolled into balls and coated in stuff (four different types of stuff. Why not go to excess?)

The Aztecs always added chili to their chocolate.

(Mind you, they also went in for ripping the still-beating hearts from their victims bodies. But still, it's the thought that counts.)

I suppose you don't know until you try it.

I must admit, I've never been much for the ripping out of still-beating hearts.

Did you see Dr Who? I loved it so much!

I did see it. As usual it left me a little cold, but it was still about the best thing on (I've seen |Shek too often). I still prefer Hex.

We don't have Sky, so I've never seen Hex I've always loved Dr Who since I watched the first episode as a very small child.

I only really liked the Peter Davidson era (I was young and foolish).

For me, Tom Baker and Patrick Troughton were the high spots. Most people are united in loathing of Sylvester McCoy, mind you.

McCoy didn't bother me as much as that girl who played ACe.

Oh my gosh, I am so with you there!

I don't think I'm ever going to eat again!

And there's still a load to go...

Same here - but I'm not tired of it yet.

Hee. This is quite typical actaully. I have a tendency to lose weight over Xmas as I eat too much the first couple of days and then start skip meals.

I can managed about two big meals (Christmas Day and Boxing Day) and then I just have to stop.

I still manage the chocolate, though.
