Garth Marenghi's Darkplace

I won't mention that the LJ outage reminded me of the takeover of XFM by Capital Radio, where the radio station disappeared for a whole weekend just after they were bought out. When it returned they'd sacked most of the DJ's, including Ricky Gervais...

Oh never mind, I have other crap, matters to discuss.

I might be the only one on the planet who watched it, but I love this programme. Says so much about my sense of humour. And there's a whole episode online!

Garth Marenghi's Darkplace

Apparently the lead guy of LJ was continuing to post on a different blog systm. Fenchurche was reading it. The crash is apparently all above board although they're a bit confused about why the servers didn't reboot properly after the power outtage. Anyway, it seems that this is a case of it is what it is and nothing more.

I was only kidding really, but the circumstances are very similar. I'm not really worried about this takeover, I doubt things will change much.

Do you know, I thought we must have something in common appart from a love of Spuffy Spike! ;) I used to watch Garth Marenghi's Darkplace too. Such a send up of TV shows taking themselves too seriously. Or just plain daft, perhaps! ;)

:) It's not just me then!

I didn't see all of them, so I was trawling the 'net to see if there was a DVD in the offing and found the first ep!

There's a website too:

I can't decide if he's more Stephen King or Clive Barker, definitely a blend of the two of them.

Thanks for the website, very funny. :D

I'd say he was more Clive Barker, but that could be because I've read way more Stephen King and have this vague loyalty thing going.

Like with Spike! ;)

I'd say my loyalty lies with James Herbert, but that was a long time ago now.

He's got the Stephen King look and prolificacy, but Clive's head-up-own-arseness.

Still, at least we both got better(?)

And look what the outage has given us: two weeks extension on paid accounts!

Yeah, and 12days got some too.
